T.G.I.F Pic Of The Week – Happy Birthday America!

4 1

Happy 4th of July! How will you be spending this holiday? A picnic, or fireworks perhaps? There are few things more patriotic than celebrating our nation’s birthday, and why not celebrate it in style this year?

4 3

Dress your little one in this adorable swimsuit that’s perfect for the 4th

4 4

…Because who DOESN’T heart USA?

4 5

Must. Buy. Them. All. These are too cute

4.6

Tons of stores have Disney clothing for kids – Walmart, Target, Kohl’s and more – but if you want something custom made (like these adult polos) – head over to Etsy

4 2

Ok, I know the cupcake isn’t clothes – but – doesn’t it look amazing? I would love to be scarfing this down while enjoying some fireworks at Disney World!

T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – Disney-Fy Your Bridal Shower With Some Easy DIY’s

I have talked before about how Disney can design you an amazing fairytale wedding with beautiful “Happily Ever After” results, but the reality is that not all of us can afford the Disney pricetag when it comes to wedding planning. There are some great DIY ways to add that Disney Magic into your wedding (check some out here) – but it doesn’t have to stop with the wedding! What about the Bridal Shower? Check out these cute Disney DIY Bridal shower ideas:

    ShowerBling

Bedazzle your own custom Bridal party hoodies or tank tops (they make great gifts!), or you can pay someone to do it (Etsy would be a great place to look!)

ShowerDrinkme

ShowerMadHatter

A Tea Party theme for a shower is pretty popular right now – and a great Disney twist to that would be to have a “Mad Hatter” Alice In Wonderland themed bridal shower

ShowerPrincess

A Princess themed Bridal Shower would be perfect for a Disney Loving Bride To Be – creating something like these labels and place cards could easily be done on the computer for little to no cost!

ShowerInvite2

Speaking of Princess theme….these invites would go along with it perfectly!

ShowerInvite

I must admit – my future sister in law is my inspiration for this post, as she is marrying my brother in law in September, and we are headed to her bridal shower this weekend. Her wedding is going to have an “Up” theme to it, and something like the above invites would go along perfectly with that theme!

T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – Headed To The Beach!

I may not have any Disney trips planned in the near future, but my family is going to be taking our first ever “family vacation” to Cape Cod this September! We will be renting a house and just relaxing and hopefully spending a TON of time on the BEACH – I can’t wait to see my son play in the sand and let him touch his feet in the ocean!

And of course – one cannot head to the beach without the proper DISNEY attire….

Beach Towel1 Beach towel2

I ordered these personalized beach towels for my son and my best friend’s daughter – because everyone needs their own beach towel (I almost ordered one for myself and now looking back am not sure why I didn’t…hmm)

BEach Rashguard

Better protect my little guy from the sun with one of these rash guard shirts – featuring Mickey Mouse!

Beach Nemo

Or perhaps something from the Finding Nemo swim collection would suit your little one?

Beach Ariel

Once you have the beach towel, it’s hard not to go all out with the matching swimsuit, bag, sandals, and sunglasses (don’t worry, it’s ok if you do – I don’t judge!)

Check out the Disney Store’s Swim Shop for more awesome summer looks!

T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – Disney-Themed Mother’s Day Ideas

Hard to believe it’s already May, isn’t it? But here we are – another Spring upon us – the birds are chirping, the flowers are blooming, the rain is falling (depending on where you live, it may be falling a LOT), and the temperature is slowly inching upward. Spring brings with it plenty of great things to look forward to – picnics, long strolls around the neighborhood, playing outside, longer days, and of course – Mother’s Day! In case you didn’t know, Mother’s Day is May 10th this year (yeah, as in NEXT SUNDAY!) – but don’t worry if you haven’t gotten a gift for mom yet, because I’ve got some great ideas for you (with a DISNEY flair, of course!)

Mday Frame

Photos are always a great gift for mom – a framed memory of a great Disney trip perhaps? These frames are great because they can be personalized, but there are plenty of other choices too – check out the Photos and Memories section of the Disney Store online for a whole bunch of album and frame options

What woman doesn’t love receiving jewelry as a gift? This set is really affordable, but if you’re looking for something a bit fancier, don’t worry – The Disney Store has got you covered there, too

Mday Vera

Vera Bradley bags and accessories are super popular right now – so if your mom is a fan, then I suggest you check out the Disney Vera Bradley Collection for a new tote or cute crossbody purse for Mom

Mday Mug

I don’t know many mothers who can survive without coffee (myself included!). Order mom a cute mug and gift it paired with a bag of her favorite brew

Mday Mom

I personally can’t wait to celebrate Mother’s Day with my mom and my little guy this year – and I really hope she likes the gift I got her, and hopefully you’re inspired by this to pick out a great Disney gift for your mom too!

T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – Birthday Planning – With A Disney Flair

 ThugLife

This week my little guy is SIX MONTHS OLD! Which may not seem very old – but it’s pretty amazing to see how far he has come, and my husband and I are so grateful for him, and we are celebrating the fact that we survived the first six months (relatively) unscathed! Now he may only be halfway to one, but as far as I’m concerned – it’s never too early to start planning for his 1st major milestone – his FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY! We booked the park lodge already, and now it’s time to think about the details – things like cake, food, and THEME are the main points of conversation now – and of course a Disney theme is a possibility, which got me to thinking – how could I do a Disney theme? What’s out there that I can use, and what can I make myself? Check out what I found…

Bday 1

An UP themed birthday is great because it’s so colorful – and it involves balloons – and what little kid doesn’t love balloons?

Bday 2

Bday 3

There’s plenty of stuff available at places like Party City, Wal-Mart, and other party stores – super cute Baby Minnie and Mickey stuff, and plenty of other Disney options too – Cars is a favorite of a lot of little boys for sure!

Bday 5

Bday 6

Bday 7

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is a show that definitely took some time to grow on me – I did NOT care for the creepy 3-D ish characters or the way Mickey’s ears don’t really move when he turns his head (strange right?), but I know how much my son likes it – the colors, the songs, and the stories are usually pretty fun and send a good message, so needless to say – I got over my dislike of it, and we watch it all the time now! It would also make a great party theme – there’s plenty of décor available out there, and you can easily compliment the Mickey items with primary colored napkins/tablecloths/balloons, etc. It’s great for boys OR girls too

Bday 4

…So maybe this isn’t good for a first birthday party, but if the kids are a bit older, wouldn’t this be fun? A Mickey Mouse bouncy house!!! Just make sure they don’t eat too much cake beforehand…

So while I mull over what his birthday party theme should be, I also need to seriously consider my cake options – check out some cake inspiration here, and while you do that I think I might go whip up a “test” cake…and since he’s too little to eat it now, I better just try it on his behalf (yum!)
