T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – Disney Easter Activities For The Whole Family!

Last week I talked about some Disney Easter Basket Stuffers that would be perfect any and all of the Disney Lovers in your life – and today I wanted to kind of continue the Easter fun – with some Disney Easter Activities:

Easter bark

In my opinion, the best activities are the edible ones – and this super cute Springtime Mickey Bark is an easy, delicious treat to throw together and bring to your family’s Easter Brunch

Easter Page

A fun one for the kids is this Disney Easter Activity Page – this and some crayons will keep the little ones busy and occupied while you hide the Easter Eggs and Baskets!

Easter Mickey Egg

Speaking of eggs…why not decorate yours like everyone’s favorite Mouse?

T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – Top (Disney!) Easter Basket Ideas

Ok first of all – I just want to go on record as saying – I don’t know when Easter became like second Christmas – but I am NOT on board with it. I see it all over social media – people who spend tons of money on putting together extravagant Easter baskets for their kids/grandkids/nieces/nephews – and it’s just nuts.

I googled “infant Easter Basket ideas” (as I have a BRAND NEW niece just born this week – ah! So exciting!) and while obviously she can’t do anything with toys yet, I wanted to put together a little something of an Easter basket for her “first Easter” – and the ideas that the internet showed me were literally the most ridiculous things ever. Toys upon toys stacked together with outfits, stuffed animals – all together in these GIANT Baskets – which were really more like bins with handles at that point – and I just wondered – when did this become what Easter is about?

Personally – I am going to stick with a small basket with a few things in it – nothing huge or fancy or expensive, and since my son is only 3, he won’t know the difference or care that his basket didn’t cost $120 and hours to assemble

Ok – now that I have successfully gotten THAT rant out – time to focus on the task at hand – filling the Easter basket! Of course, a Disney theme is always a good option…

Easter181

What is more “Easter” than Mickey dressed as the Easter Bunny?

Easter182

I just about died when I saw this online – and I came really close to ordering one for myself – my inner 5 year old was itching to click “Add To Cart” – as I just cannot imagine a cuter toy for a little girl’s Easter basket then an Ariel Voice Recording Necklace. Who knows – maybe the Easter Bunny will bring ME one!

Easter183

Bubbles are the perfect item for almost any age – as they are fun, cheap, and a reminder that Spring is coming! This Mickey Bubble Wand is amazing – it even lights up!

It’s not just the Disney Store who offers great Easter ideas – your local big box store has tons of (budget friendly!) Easter basket items, too!

Easter184

Saw this Minnie pail when I was there the other day – there was also a Mickey of course, as well as assorted plainer buckets with Mickey/Minnie/Frozen characters on them – they would be great to use at the beach in the summer! In addition to Disney buckets/pails, they had tons of other little themed items – eggs, candy filled eggs, bubbles, small toys, and much more (they really had an insane amount of stuff – worth checking out, for sure!)

While I don’t love how big Easter seems to have become over the years, I do enjoy the idea of putting together a basket for my son and niece, and am excited to get to see them enjoy the fun things I put in it! What about you – what do YOU like to put in your kid’s Easter baskets?

Stay tuned right here next week – when I will showcase some fun and easy Easter activities for the whole family!

As I am here to help you with all your romantic gifting needs – and of course the best gifts are always Disney-themed, right?

Any Star Wars loving guy would LOVE to receive this amazing watch for Valentine’s Day (or any day, really!)

VD318

What a cute little plush Lady & The Tramp set for kids – and what a classic love story!

My son – who has NO IDEA what Valentine’s Day actually is or what it means – loves running around screaming “it’s almost VALENTINE’S DAY!” so luckily I don’t think either my husband or I will forget to celebrate or get each other gifts – and hopefully this can serve as a PSA to you (who may have forgotten Valentine’s is coming up quick?)

T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – Christmas Smiles All Around!

I don’t know about you – but in our house we have been celebrating Christmas for a couple weeks now – cookies, decorating, crafts, songs, movies – it’s been so much fun doing it all with my little family and seeing my 3 year old son actually start to understand and enjoy Christmas this year!

I think the best gift I could ever get this year is smiles from this little man – and I must have been on the “nice” list – because he seems to smile all the time – and I couldn’t be more glad to be spending Christmas with him

Here’s hoping your Holiday is full of laughter, fun, magic, family, and friends – MERRY CHRISTMAS and TGIF!

T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – Top Disney Toys That EVERY Kid Will Love

I don’t know about you but I am DEEP in Christmas prep – like – shoulder deep – cookies, wrapping, decorating, Santa-ing – it’s ALL happening over here – the season is in FULL FORCE at our house. And if you’re like me, you probably have some little ones on your shopping list that you haven’t bought for yet because you have NO idea what to get them. Well – join the club – cousins, friends of your kids, nieces/nephews – it’s hard to pick out something they will like! Luckily – I have done some research for you – and come up with these Top Disney Toy Picks:

XmasToys1

Dress Up Clothes – because what little girl doesn’t want to dress as their favorite Disney Princess?

Xmastoys2

Mickey’s Clubhouse – Anyone with a little one knows how much they love Mickey – EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM love him – no matter what age. So this playset is perfect for hours of fun

XmasToys3

Fun for the whole family! (and if you think this isn’t a toy – hand your little one a stack of the cards and watch them “play” with it for hours – my son LOVES pretending to play on his own and looking at the pictures on the cards)

At the end of the day, kids want TOYS for Christmas. Clothes, candy, books – those are all well and good, but let’s be real – it’s the toys they want to unwrap. So, stick with these awesome toys and you will be the coolest mom/aunt/friend/cousin ever!

T.G.I.F Pic Of The Week – Full Speed Ahead To CHRISTMAS!

Ok, I know what you’re thinking – it’s not even Thanksgiving yet and this chick is writing about Christmas? Well – yes. Yes I am. Not only am I a notorious over-planner (meaning I love lists and like to plan wayyyy way ahead), but I am also a mom – which means not only do I have to bake, send cards, wrap gifts, decorate – but I also have to ensure that I am creating that Christmas magic for my son, too!

XmasCraft5
Which honestly I am SO THRILLED to do – this year he is 3 and finally old enough to start to understand Christmas, and how Santa operates – that part he is SUPER aware of – “Sant bring me that toy?” is one of his new phrases. Because of that, and also because of the fact that he is a lot more aware this year, we are also going to try and include him in on our annual charity work – donating to those in need – warm winter clothes, food, toys – we will bring him along so he can help pick it all out. We are trying to get him to understand that not everyone can afford new toys every Christmas – and I am hoping this is a message that sticks with him for years to come!

Another thing he is super into (aside from what Santa may bring him of course) right now is crafts – he LOVES little projects – I have found that pre-packaged ones from craft stores that include stuff like self adhesive parts are a HUGE hit with him – and so since he ALSO loves Disney, I thought why not try and find some Disney Craft projects for him to try?

Xmascraft4

My son is BIG into Monsters Inc right now – so this Ornament would be right up his alley!

Xmascraft3

Considering that he is always grabbing the black drink coasters and pretending they are his “Mickey Ears” – I think this would be a hit, too

Xmascraft2

Alien Elves – so cute!

XmasCraft1

Not sure what he would enjoy more- creating this adorable Candy Box, or eating the candy we put in it (ok – I am sure – the box would be a hit but the candy wins every time ha)

Hopefully these help get you and your little ones into the Christmas spirit – TGIF – and happy crafting!
