Disney+ Is Coming – Are YOU Ready?

disney-plus-tv-originals-2-hero-aldd

Less than a week until Disney launches their new streaming service – Disney Plus is set to release on November 12th, and I don’t know about you, but for me it feels like Christmas is coming early this year!

Of course, in true Disney fashion – you can already Sign-Up, and even get a discount for paying annually (as opposed to monthly). The monthly price is set at $6.99, but annually they are offering it for $69.99 – which is basically like getting 2 months free. Additionally, they will be offering it as an add-on to Hulu – which will cost $13 a month for a Hulu/Disney+/ESPN+ bundle

But the BIG question on everyone’s mind (including mine!) – What will actually be ON Disney+? Like – what can I watch? Will all my favorite movies/shows be on there? At launch, there will be hundreds of movies and shows to choose from – including animated classics, Disney channel shows and much more – check out the list Here

The other question I had was – can I download movies/shows to watch offline? And – according to the official Disney+ Website – you CAN! “Download any TV show or movie – Unlimited downloads on up to 10 devices, so you can take your favorites with you” This is the best news of all to me – as it means I can load up my son’s (and my!) tablets before long road trips with fresh movies and shows for us to enjoy!

Learn more about this sure to be amazing streaming service here

What about YOU will you be investing in this new service?

T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – Beauty And The Beast’s Live Action Remake Hits Theaters TODAY!

BB5

When Disney released the animated classic Beauty And The Beast back in 1991 (almost 26 years ago now!), they probably had no idea just how much of a true “classic” it would become. It made millions at the box office, and even won two Oscars (and was the first ever animated film to be nominated for Best Picture, too!)

I remember watching the VHS of this over and over and over (and listening to the soundtrack cassette tape over and over too!) – so the fact that Disney’s live action remake is releasing into theaters today has me more than just a little excited! Check out what’s in store for you when you head to the theater to see it:

I can’t wait to see how they re-tell this “tale as old as time”

What about you – are you headed to the theater this weekend to see it?

T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – “Finding Dory” Breaks The Box Office!

    Dory

The MUCH anticipated sequel to Disney Pixar’s Finding Nemo opened last weekend at the box office – and grossed over $136 million dollars just last weekend, which makes it the highest-grossing animated debut of all time! Pretty impressive – but definitely not surprising to me, as I have been waiting 13 years for more undersea adventures with Dory!

Haven’t seen it yet? Here’s a sneak peak of just some of the fun you’re in for:

T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – Those Movies Are HOW Old?

I was reading recently on the Disney Parks Blog that the Lion King turned 21, and that Pocahontas turned 20 – hard to believe, as I remember when both of these first came out, and I remember going to see The Lion King in theaters!

Got me to thinking – how old are some of the other Animated Disney Classics?

SnowWhite

Snow White is the oldest – originally released in theaters in 1937

Cinderella

My absolute favorite Disney movie – Cinderella – first graced the big screen in 1950. Hard to believe that it was that long ago, isn’t it?

AliceInWonderland

Followed the next year by Alice In Wonderland in 1951

TheLittleMermaid

Jump ahead a little to this classic – released in 1989 – 26 years ago

Disney's Beauty and the Beast (1991)

This “Tale as old as time” came out in 1991

TheLionKing

In 1994 I was 10 – and vividly remember seeing this at the movies

Wreck-It-Ralph

2012 brought us the release of Wreck-It Ralph – which didn’t get much publicity as it should have in my opinion – I loved this movie!

INside Out

Disney’s newest movie was released just last week to rave reviews – will YOU be heading to see Inside Out?

These Disney Classics have stood the test of time, and I can’t wait to see what else they come up with!
