T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – A New Place To Get Even More Great Disney Pics!

Disney just recently opened a new PhotoPass Studio in Disney Springs – giving families more opportunity to capture even more great photo memories of their WDW Trip! Check it out:

You can get some great traditional posed family photos, or you can jazz it up – they have a variety of backgrounds and special effects to choose from, and they even have props available too!

As someone who LOVES photos (and considers them by far the best souvenir of all), I would DEFINITELY take advantage of this new studio style setting to snap some family shots. How about you – will you be making the trip over to the new PhotoPass Studio on your next WDW Trip?

T.G.I.F Pic Of The Week: A Closer Look At Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party

One of my dreams is to someday spend Halloween at Walt Disney World – and to dress in costume to attend Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. WHY, you might be wondering? Well, it just sounds like too much fun to pass up!

For those not familiar with the event, it’s held on select evenings in September and October, and features trick or treating, a Halloween parade, special character appearances and more. Check it out:

Kids of all ages get into the Happy Halloween spirit while trick-or-treating during MickeyÕs Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom. The family-friendly after-hours event also offers dance parties, meet and greets with favorite characters in costume, plus the must-see "Mickey's Boo-to-You Halloween Parade" and "Happy HalloWishes" fireworks display. Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a special ticket event and takes place on select nights each fall at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. (Ali Nasser, photographer)

Ok so I know that maybe I am slightly biased because I love fall so much, but I just can’t imagine a more fun way to spend Halloween than at DISNEY WORLD – with candy, dressed up characters, and pumpkins galore!
I can just picture myself – dressed as Minnie Mouse, enjoying a delicious caramel apple as I take in the parade…#fallgoals #maybesomeday

T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – Taking A Closer Look At The Haunted Mansion

Walt Disney World will celebrate it’s 45th anniversary soon – October 1st is the day they opened the gates of the Magic Kingdom to the public for the first time back in 1971, and in light of this, I think it’s always fun to take a look back at some of the history of the Park – especially the rides that have been open since that first opening day – like the Haunted Mansion. It’s a personal favorite of myself and my husband, we love riding it as many times in a row as we can – it just never gets old! Speaking of old – check out these vintage photos:

I LOVEEEE these photo of the Haunted Mansion being built (circa January 1971) – it’s so amazing to see something like that come together!

These are a few I have snapped over the years – including the wait on Christmas Eve, which was the longest I have ever seen it at 90 minutes (we skipped it that day, even I have my limits!)

It’s hard to believe that the Magic Kingdom has been bringing happiness to people for almost 45 years – but it’s also kinda amazing, isn’t it? TGIF!

T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – #FallVibes

Personally – I am already into fall mode – I have decorations up, apples have been picked (and made into applesauce!), and pumpkin coffees and lattes have been obtained from various local baristas. And while many of you may think it’s too early for this, I can assure you – it’s NOT, and guess what – DISNEY AGREES WITH ME!

The Parks are already decked out in their Fall Finery for all to enjoy!

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party has already started this year, too believe it or not (including exclusive party snacks):

A spectacle of characters parades down Main Street, U.S.A in “Mickey’s Boo-to You Halloween Parade” during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom. The parade is led by the Headless Horseman and includes Disney characters in Halloween regalia and the ghostly inhabitants of The Haunted Mansion. Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a special ticket event and takes place on select nights each fall at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. (Ali Nasser, photographer)

Oh – and if you want to look the part, I suggest you head over to the Disney store website and check out what’s new for Halloween/fall 2016!

T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – Foodies Rejoice – Food And Wine Time Is Almost Here!

The characters, the rides, the shows – there’s so much to see and do at Walt Disney World that just thinking about it all makes me tired…and HUNGRY. Luckily, WDW has some truly amazing cuisine – and if you’re a “foodie” then you might want to plan your Disney vacation around the annual Epcot International Food & Wine Festival – where you can experience even MORE amazing eats!

Guests can sample tapas-sized tastes of inventive cuisine from more than 30 global marketplaces during the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival Sept. 25-Nov. 16, 2015 at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. The popular fall festival also features wine tastings, culinary demonstrations, mixology seminars, nightly "Eat to the Beat" concerts and a broad range of premium dining events. For the first time in the festival's 20-year-history, global marketplace experiences, expand from the park's World Showcase into Future World. (Matt Stroshane, photographer)

This year the Festival runs from September 14th – November 14th, and in addition to TONS of pop up kiosks featuring cuisine from around the world – places like Belgium, Brazil, South Korea, and MANY more will be represented

The idea here is to pair the country’s signature dishes with their best wines and beverages, to really showcase the food AND drink! Check out the full list of kiosks that will be at this year’s festival Here

In addition to the food and drink available for purchase, there will be live concerts, culinary demonstrations, beverage seminars, and newly added this year – the chance to get in on the action with “Mix it, Make It, Celebrate it!” classes (like sushi making and cake decorating to name a few!)

The Food and Wine Festival is really a dream come true for someone like myself – who loves Disney and FOOD – and I can’t wait to check it out next fall when I head to WDW!

T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – New Disney Dooney & Bourke!

As a woman, I love me a good designer handbag. And even if you aren’t a purse fan, surely you can appreciate the time and talent that goes into creating an exquisite bag. Disney has had a partnership with the high-end Dooney & Bourke brand for years, and they have recently branched out with three BRAND NEW collections, check it out:
DBNew1
Beauty and the Beast was one of the first movies I remember going to see in the theater – and it is still just as magical today as the day it was released (almost 25 years ago!)
DBNew2
The “Tea Time” collection is my personal favorite – as I am a huge Alice In Wonderland fan (I even have a tattoo of a quote from the movie!), and I could watch it over and over again without getting bored of it
DBNew3
I love the design of the Dumbo series – almost like a chalkboard-ish type drawing, and the red accents are the perfect touch
These collections will be available via the “Shop Disney Parks” Mobile App – which I HIGHLY recommend you download if you’re a Disney fan like me – it gives you the opportunity to have merchandise that is normally only available in the Disney Parks shipped directly to your front door! Perfect for the Disney lover who isn’t able to spend as much time at WDW as they would like (like me, and every other Disney fanatic out there who wishes they could just live in Cinderella’s Castle!)
TGIF, and happy shopping!
