Disney+ – 2 Months In & LOVING It!

disney-plus-investors-content-2019

I don’t know about you, but I personally couldn’t WAIT until The launch of Disney+ – it felt like something that was so needed, not just for us Disney fanatics, but for anyone and everyone with kids, without kids – basically everyone. It was needed for everyone, no matter who they are, or what age – Disney+ is basically a necessity for the world.

Ok, maybe that’s being a bit dramatic, but – I personally feel like it is the perfect addition to our TV lineup. Like many other families these days, we don’t subscribe to a traditional “Cable” service, but instead have a few streaming subscriptions – Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and now Disney+!

Now that it’s finally arrived and I have had a chance to play with it, I have to say I love the interface and how easy it is to use, and the only drawback I have seen is that the newest movies aren’t on there yet (specifically Toy Story 4 – my son has mentioned he wishes it was on there multiple times haha)

I love that it’s pretty much all family friendly, and that there are tons of “older” movies from the “Disney Vault” on there so that my husband and I can easily share the movies of our childhood with our son (most of which he has been wholly unimpressed by – but we will keep trying!)

What about you? Have you taken the plunge into Disney+? What are you loving most about it?

T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – Head To Target For These Adorable (Disney Themed!) Valentine’s Day Shirts

I know this may be an unpopular opinion – but I personally LOVE Valentine’s Day! And it’s not because I love getting flowers or other such sappy gestures – I just love the idea of showing people that you love them, and getting the chance to do that through words, cards, gifts, and gestures. It’s silly sure – but I can’t help it. Of course – I also love the fact that there are many great DISNEY loves out there – Disney couples, and many love stories within the movies, that renew my beliefs in love (and yes – I know the movies aren’t real, ha), and just make all well with the world again – even if only for a moment

Speaking of Disney and Valentine’s Day, what better way to express your love of both Disney and Love itself than with some awesome shirts from Target?

This men’s t-shirt is so cute – I mean – really – Mickey has ROSES on his shorts – how can you not love that? Buy it here

I have walked by this the last several times I have been at Target – and it has taken ALL of my available restraint not to just throw it in my cart and buy it – and honestly, next time the willpower will probably be gone and this will be MINE. Make it yours, too!

Little girls love Minnie Mouse. It’s just a fact – and why shouldn’t they? She’s adorable, classy, and rocks that dress and heels like nobody else can. Express their love for Minnie with This adorable shirt

I can’t with how cute this is  – I mean really.

Babies are cute no matter what, but in this adorable set of Mickey PJ’s – your baby wins Valentine’s Day

You might be wondering…does Target PAY me to talk up their stuff? And the answer is 100% NO WAY – I literally just love Target that much, and they have the cutest Disney Valentine’s Day stuff EVER (said as I sip my coffee from my Mickey kissing Minnie mug my husband got me from Target a few years ago on Valentine’s Day), and it’s just the best place to go for Disney Valentine’s Day Shirts – or well, for anything at all, really!

TGIF and HAPPY February!

My Son’s Disney Education – The (REALLY) Early Months

My little guy is already going for the Disney toys - apparently we will be playing Disney Yahtzee tonight!

My little guy is already going for the Disney toys – apparently we will be playing Disney Yahtzee tonight!

There are few things I am adamant about, but waiting until my kid is old enough to enjoy a vacation (and not need a stroller!) is one of them – as I cannot fathom toting a stroller/diaper bag/toys/blankets etc around with me at Walt Disney World, so I am opting to wait until he is about 4 to take him to the Happiest Place On Earth (well, almost 4. 3 maybe – depending on how independent he is….). This means I have approximately 3.5 years to make sure he is schooled in all that is the World of Disney. May seem like a long time, but there’s a LOT TO LEARN!

So how do I teach? Well, I have several methods.

MOVIES: This is probably the most important, and one of the easiest ways to teach kids about Disney – is to show them the works of art that Walt himself and his team of animators and Imagineers created. They may not understand much of the story, but they will love the colors, animation, and songs

BOOKS: Reading to your kids is a great habit to get into, and my little guy loves hearing stories and seeing the pictures. Most Disney classic movies are also available in book form, and they are a great way to introduce them to the joys of reading!

SINGING: Some of you may be wary of this one as not everyone has choir perfect voices, but kids generally LOVE being sung to – even if you aren’t always pitch perfect. I like to sing Mary Poppins songs to my boy, and I help him “dance” to them too

TOYS: There are SO MANY Disney toys out there – they have them at almost every store – from the grocery store, to Wal-Mart and Target and drugstores too! Make sure you pay attention to the recommended ages, so that you can be sure your little one is enjoying the right kind of toy. Personally I love stuffed animals, and so does my son – Mickey’s ears and Tigger’s nose make the best chew toys

It’s NEVER too early to teach your kids about Disney – Or at least that’s what I keep telling myself anyway. At this rate he will be more than ready for his first (of what I am sure will be many) Disney World trip!
