T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – Ho Ho Ho! Holiday Treats Have Arrived At The Disney Parks!

There’s plenty to be thankful for this Holiday season – health, family, home, love, and of course – FOOD!

Christmas or other holiday meals and treats are amazing, and I love a good homemade treat – but I would gladly trade that in for a chance to sample some of the amazing meals and snacks served up at the Disney Parks this time of year!
Here’s a few of my top picks:

It’s not Christmas without cookies am I right? Gingerbread men, intricately decorated sugar cookies shaped like Mickey – and they even have “cookie shots” – cookie cups filled with milk or hot chocolate

Pictured here we have:
-Gingerbread Cupcake topped with cream cheese icing (and a buttercream tree!)
-Peppermint Cookies & Cream Shake
-Popcorn (in a festive Holiday bucket!)
-Double chocolate peppermint Ice Cream Sandwich

While I have been lucky enough to spend multiple Christmases at Disney World, I unfortunately won’t be there to check these out this year

T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – The Only Thing I Love More Than Disney World In The Fall…

…Is the FOOD at Disney World in the Fall! Disney World in the Fall is magical and amazing – and that would be enough – BUT – they obviously kick it up even more with their amazing selection of seasonal snacks and menu items, too!

This adorable Mickey-Shaped Cinnamon roll is adorned with orange glaze and a chocolate spiderweb, and is available at the Main Street Bakery

This is another one of the Main Street Bakery’s amazing fall items – filled with caramel, and topped with a “cauldron” and chocolate buttercream, and featuring an edible homage to the Sanderson Sisters – this “Amuck, Amuck, Amuck Cupcake” is truly a delicious, one of a kind treat!

Head over to Liberty Square Popcorn Cart for one of these evilly delicious Maleficent Cones – lime soft serve in a black waffle cone, topped with chocolate horns and purple sugar

Now – here’s my favorite fall treat of them all – a Pumpkin Spice Milkshake topped with candy pumpkins and a Mickey Marshmallow. It’s available at Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies, and if this doesn’t put you in the fall mood, nothing will!

T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – I’m Just Here For The Food

Ok – I know I talk a TON about the FOOD at Walt Disney World – and with GOOD REASON – they have the best food on the planet – seriously. They really go above and beyond in every category when crafting the Disney Guest Experience – but the cuisine is one of the areas in which I take particular pleasure – I love checking out all the new snacks and themed items they have come up with every time I am in WDW

It may only be August, but Disney is already planning for the upcoming season – the BEST one of all, FALL, and they are already creating some amazing items for HALLOWEEN too – FOOD items that is:

From a “Not so Poison Apple” cupcake, to a spider web-themed Mickey Cinnamon Roll, to Pumpkin cheesecake, Haunted Mansion Themed “graves” full of dirt and worms, and amazing collectible popcorn buckets – plus many more – your taste buds will no doubt delight in these spooky snacks!

These amazing treats are only available during Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party (running on select evenings at the Magic Kingdom now through October) – and personally I think the chance to check these out is worth the price of a ticket to the party. But then again, I am partial to snacks – so I would love to know what YOU think – are you headed to the Party to sample some of these treats?

T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – Mouth Watering Treats Await At Aristocrepes

I am always ALWAYS up for a new Disney World snack – the food at WDW is in fact the thing I am MOST excited about for our trip next month – and if you think that’s weird – then you obviously haven’t experienced all that Disney has to offer in the world of cuisine – they serve it ALL – all types and all styles of food, and the snacks are TO DIE FOR – seriously. I just discovered ANOTHER to add to my list – the bubble waffles at Aristocrepes in Disney Springs! Check out these beauties:

The bubble waffles come in strawberry and Salted caramel varieties, and the stand also sells sweet and savory crepes (hence the name!)

The ONE drawback to this spot is that it doesn’t open until 4pm on weekdays (noon on weekends so yay for that!). Check out all the info here

T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – “So Basic I Can’t Even”

Perhaps you have heard of the term “Basic White Girl” – and if you haven’t, I can school you on it – it’s your typical fall-loving, pumpkin spice latter drinking, apple picking, scarf wearing gal who just adores everything about fall and all that goes with it. Maybe the term might offend some, but I personally find it to be funny, and truth be told I am about as Basic as they come. I LIVE for fall, and the unveiling of all things fall at Disney is something I look forward to every year. And now that it is September, I feel like I can OFFICIALLY be excited about fall – and all the great ways Disney brings it to life:

There’s the fall décor that springs up everywhere you turn at the Parks

And then there’s the seasonally themed treats for sale at all the Disney Parks, too!

 And for those of us not lucky enough to be headed to Walt Disney World this fall, we can take solace in the fact that the Disney Store has a nice big Halloween Section – full of amazing costumes and décor and other fun stuff you can use at home to make this the BEST FALL EVER!!

Ok – sorry – got a little excited there – can’t help it – it’s the basic girl in me!

T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – Disney Snack Attack

Walt Disney World has some of the best food ever – I mean we are talking way above and beyond your standard burgers/chicken nuggets/random fried stuff that you find at most theme parks (but if you’re into that, don’t worry – they have that too!) Check out some of the amazing snacks you can get while at WDW:

      

As you can see, my husband and I like to share cake pops – and can you blame us when they are moist and flavorful, not to mention Mickey shaped?

Speaking of Mickey shaped – The Mickey Bar is a MUST on a hot day. Or any day really – I would even eat one in the snow – that’s how classically delicious they are

Anything from Karamell Kuche in  Epcot’s Germany. Seriously – ANYTHING

Any of the sundaes from Ghiradelli in Disney Springs – this is the Gold Rush, with peanut butter and hot fudge, and it’s amazing – but anything made with their housemade fudge is to die for

…In case you hadn’t noticed, I have a bit of a sweet tooth…but my husband tends to enjoy salty things more, and soft pretzels are always a hit with him (this one used to have Mickey ears…but he scarfed those up before I could even get a picture!)

When snacktime hits at Disney World, there are so many awesome options that it would take weeks to try them all – which by the way is definitely what I am doing if I ever win the lottery!
