Phone kickstands and pop sockets are all the rage right now – and I have always thought they were kinda pointless. That is – until I dropped my phone in a batch of dough I was trying to photograph with slippery hands for my Baking blog – then a lightbulb went off in my head like “hey maybe these things are kinda useful after all”… now just to find one that isn’t super bulky and ugly…
…well that didn’t take long – Thanks to Amazon! $10 and 2 days later I was the proud owner of these adorable Mickey phone kickstands
Packaged as shown above, arrived as expected and so far – amazing both in look and usability
Not only is it adorably Mickey themed – but it makes holding and carrying my phone much easier – and my selfie game has never been more on point (what? I take a lot of selfies – so what!?)
This is in no way a sponsorship for amazon or this seller or product – I just wanted to share how excited I was to find such an awesome Disney themed phone accessory! I can’t wait to use it this fall at the Parks #AllTheSelfies
As an avid Disney Lover I am always looking for new ways to express my love and devotion to all things Disney – and one of the ways I have found that’s really awesome is through Tech accessories – there are TONS of great Disney ones out there!
There are plenty of licensed ones available via The Disney Store – including Iphone cases, tablet cases/carriers, and headphones
Check out these awesome Charger Wrappers Here
That’s right – even your Apple Watch can get in on the Disney action – I personally just ordered these Mickey Ear Apple watch cases and am LOVING it so far:
Amazing. Goes perfectly with my Disney Alex and Ani!!
I love the fact that I can add some Disney flair to my devices – nothing screams “I LOVE DISNEY” more than Mickey ears on your watch!

Just last weekend the Anaheim Convention Center hosted the annual D23 Expo – a chance for Disney nerds everywhere to unite and bask in all the glory that is Disney – and to learn about all the new and exciting things that Disney is working on – from movies to characters, merchandise and apparel, and of course the Disney Parks are a huge part of the Expo, too!
I wrote a few months back once news hit that Star Wars Land was officially happening, and now thanks to the D23 Expo – we know TONS more about the new lands being built at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland
The lands at both locations will be officially called “Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge” – and they will transport guests to a never-before-seen planet, a remote trading port and one of the last stops before Wild Space, where Star Wars characters and their stories come to life!
They aren’t slated to open until 2019 – which stinks, but at least it gives me a lot of time to plan ahead and save up for a trip to Walt Disney World – where my Star Wars-loving husband and son are sure to have a blast exploring the new land (who are we kidding – I am going to love it too, I’m sure!)
My husband and I are lucky enough to be off work this week – and on vacation! We are staying with our best friends at their house in Virginia – and have been having a blast!
We went to the beach in Ocean City Maryland – where the kids got to swim, play on the beach, and enjoy the boardwalk.
My boy got his first taste of real “rides” at the boardwalk – he loved them!! And of course the Disney lover in me is saying “hmm what perfect practice for when we go to Disney next year!!”
Truth be told – one of my fave parts of seeing our friends is my adorable little niece – she is 3 and super into all things Disney and princess – and while I adore my boy and his love of Mickey and Cars – sometimes it’s nice to cuddle and watch Ariel (and sing along with every song of course). She’s a beautiful little babe and I have so much fun watching her grow and develop her own interests and personality!
So glad to be getting some downtime this week!!
Not gonna lie – it’s been a ROUGH WEEK here. Death in the family, putting our house on the market so TONS of cleaning and organizing, and a MAJOR POWER OUTAGE affecting over 150,000 homes in my area have really just made me extra grateful that it’s FRIDAY. Even if the weekend means more cold house and searching for a generator, at least I will be with my family.
It’s not all doom and gloom though – last weekend we had friends in town, and our kids had so much fun playing together:
I like to look back on these pictures when I am having a tough time (needless to say, I have been looking at them a LOT the past few days, and will probably do so even more tonight when I go home and the power is probably STILL out)
Sometimes it’s the little things that get us through – like a smile, hug, or a kiss from a loved one
Apparently 2/23 was “National Dog Biscuit Appreciation Day” – which honestly sounds like a pretty strange holiday to me, but – whatever – our dogs deserve some recognition once in a while, right? They are always there to give a kiss and a tail wag when we get home at the end of a long day, and they always lend a sympathetic ear to our problems, too!
My big guy Walter (named after Mr. Disney of course!) is the best – and he deserves the best – whether it’s Dog Appreciation Day, Biscuit Day, or any day
If you’re looking to show your dog how much they mean to you (while showing off your DISNEY loving side too), then check out some of these awesome Disney themed pet accessories:
They may not be able to come to WDW with you to enjoy Mickey Waffles and Mickey Ice Cream bars, but they CAN have their own (squeakier!) versions
Walter would seriously love this – what a great place to flop down after a long day of napping, barking, slurping water, and chasing squirrels. Check out these and other available dog accessories here
