T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – Mouth Watering Treats Await At Aristocrepes

I am always ALWAYS up for a new Disney World snack – the food at WDW is in fact the thing I am MOST excited about for our trip next month – and if you think that’s weird – then you obviously haven’t experienced all that Disney has to offer in the world of cuisine – they serve it ALL – all types and all styles of food, and the snacks are TO DIE FOR – seriously. I just discovered ANOTHER to add to my list – the bubble waffles at Aristocrepes in Disney Springs! Check out these beauties:

The bubble waffles come in strawberry and Salted caramel varieties, and the stand also sells sweet and savory crepes (hence the name!)

The ONE drawback to this spot is that it doesn’t open until 4pm on weekdays (noon on weekends so yay for that!). Check out all the info here

T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – “Christopher Robin” Will Bring You Back

Last week Disney’s “Christopher Robin” arrived in theaters, delighting those of all ages – and bringing a new generation of fans to the movies to see a delightfully forgetful Hunny-loving bear and his pals go through misadventures in the Hundred Acre Wood:

The gang’s all here – Winnie the Pooh, Rabbit, Tigger, Eeyore, Kanga and Roo – all the characters I adored as a child have come back to help remind us of our childhoods

Disney said this about the film: “In the heatwarming live action adventure “Disney’s Christopher Robin,” the young boy who loved embarking on adventures in the Hundred Acre Wood with a band of spirited and loveable stuffed animals, has grown up and lost his way. Now it is up to his childhood friends to venture into our world and help Christopher Robin remember the loving and playful boy who is still inside.”

…Sometimes I think we ALL need that reminder, a friend to help us find our way back to our true path. Well done, Pooh. Well done.

Pooh and friends were always a favorite of mine as a kid – so I can’t wait to head to the theater to check this out – What about you? Have you seen it yet?

T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – CHICKEN GUY Is Coming To Disney Springs!

Disney recently announced that Guy Fieri (of Food Network Fame – Diners Drive Ins and Dives anyone?) is opening a fast food restaurant at Disney Springs called Chicken Guy! The concept is “one of a kind all natural fresh chicken tenders” – so the menu will really focus on that, as well as sandwiches and a selection of over 20 house made sauces!

I know I can’t wait to check it out when I head to Walt Disney World next month!

T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – “Incredible Tomorrowland Expo” Flies Into The Magic Kingdom!

In honor of Disney Pixar’s Incredibles 2 – which hits theaters June 15th – Disney has gone all out – celebrating all things Incredible and Super – hero that is! With their Incredible Tomorrowland Expo on now through the summer at The Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland

The experiences include interacting with the movie’s stars, theming and music, and all things Super Hero! Oh, and then there’s the food:

Tomorrowland food vendors have all gotten in on the action too – with Incredible-Themed menu items to celebrate! Pictured above we have Edna Mode’s “No Capes, Just Crêpes” Crêpe Sundae, Mrs. Incredible Pretzel Mask (topped with black salt!), and the Super Stretchy Burger (featuring Mozzarella sticks)

Disney had this to say about this celebration: “Thanks to The Incredibles, the world has once again embraced the Supers! So, in honor of all the good Super Heroes do, Tomorrowland presents the Incredible Tomorrowland Expo—where you’ll have the chance to interact with Mr. Incredible, Frozone, Mrs. Incredible and, for the first time, Edna Mode!”

Sounds like a great time to me! I loved the Incredibles and can’t wait to see the new one – I plan on taking my dad, husband, and son to it for Father’s Day – how about you – will you head to the theaters in a few weeks to see the Incredibles 2?

T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – New “Discover Bourbon” Experience Comes To Disney Springs – Now Through June 17th!

Bourbon Lovers, Rejoice! Disney World has created an event JUST for you – a take on the “Drink Around The World” concept that people love over at Epcot. Restaurants at WDW’s Disney Springs are taking part in this with new and creative food and drink pairings starring – you guessed it, BOURBON!

Disney has this to say about the event, which runs May 1-June 17th: “Kick-start your spring by discovering an all-new bourbon-inspired experience at Disney Springs, where guests ages 21 and older can partake in unique beverages and food pairings. Meander through the many shops and restaurants throughout the area and find your favorites!

Each of these drinks has been carefully paired with a delicious dish, and there’s even a map that shows where to find all of them! Whether you’re a bourbon aficionado, or just enjoy sipping and savoring new drinks, this experience is perfect for an afternoon stroll or a night out with friends.”

T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – 29 Years Of Movies And Fun!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been taking guest on a journey through the movies for over 29 years – in fact, on May 1st the Park celebrated it’s 29th anniversary!

“The World you have entered was created by The Walt Disney Company and is dedicated to Hollywood—not a place on a map, but a state of mind that exists wherever people dream and wonder and imagine, a place where illusion and reality are fused by technological magic. We welcome you to a Hollywood that never was—and always will be.” – Michael Eisner said this during his speech on the day the park opened – back then it was called “Disney’s MGM Studios” – and some of us old timers (like myself will probably always call it that)

In honor of the Park celebrating 29 years, here’s a look back on some of my favorite Hollywood Studios moments:

Here’s to many, many more memories – especially as Hollywood Studios undergoes some MAJOR construction to bring some awesome new things this year and next – like Toy Story Land and Star Wars Land
