T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – Cool Off In The Summer Heat At Blizzard Beach!

I have a confession to make – I am not a huge fan of water parks – I was never a big swimmer when I was younger and without my glasses I could never see what slide I was even riding on – it was never my favorite way to spend a day. But luckily I have grown to appreciate them a bit more – due in large part to my obtaining contact lenses and becoming a better swimmer! Plus, how can you say no to a Disney Waterpark – its basically as intricate and well themed as their theme Parks  – but with water! Which, on a hot Florida summer day can really be a lifesaver!

Disney’s Blizzard Beach is the newer of its two Water Parks and it’s themed after a ski Resort that has “melted” into a watery wonderland

Or simply relax on the beach!

What could be a better way to escape the heat than in a BLIZZARD?! I highly recommend you plan a day at a Disney Water Park on your next trip – especially if you plan on visiting during the summer months!

Try Something Different At WDW

Boat Rental

Walt Disney World is known for its Theme Parks and rides, and they are some of the best in the world, as Disney really strives to create an immersive guest experience, and they 100% succeed at that (in my humble opinion!)

But, Theme Parks and rides aren’t for everyone, and for those who are headed to WDW and are looking for something unique and different to occupy your time, here are some things you can try:

-Rent a Boat – WDW offers motorboats, jetskis, and canoes/paddle boats for rental, and it’s a great way to get to see more of Disney

-Fishing – You can book fishing excursions where you go out with a guide and spend a morning catching some large and small mouth bass (you don’t get to keep what you catch, unfortunately, but its still a fun time!)

-Bike Rides – Bike rentals are available at several resorts, and there are lots of trails to explore all around the resorts

-Horseback Riding – at Disney’s Fort Wilderness you can take lessons and go riding through their long nature trails (it’s so peaceful there you may even forget you’re at Disney World!)

-Spa Treatments – WDW offers 2 world class spas where you can relax in a serene setting while you get a massage, facial, and manicure

-Golf – there are several amazing golf courses at Disney, and you can event take lessons from their pros

-Shopping – Stores are everywhere at WDW, for those hardcore shoppers I recommend you head over to Downtown Disney, where you will find everything for sale from toys to Harleys!

-Swimming – All WDW Resorts have pools, and there are also water parks that are the perfect place to cool off on a hot day

-Try Some New Cuisine – WDW is known for it’s amazing food, and there are plenty of restaurants options out there that offer all kinds of food, so it’s a great place to be advanturous and try something new (like African or Moroccan food!)

Disney offers all this and much, much more – check out their website to find out what they have in store for you!
