T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – Disney-Fy Your Bridal Shower With Some Easy DIY’s

I have talked before about how Disney can design you an amazing fairytale wedding with beautiful “Happily Ever After” results, but the reality is that not all of us can afford the Disney pricetag when it comes to wedding planning. There are some great DIY ways to add that Disney Magic into your wedding (check some out here) – but it doesn’t have to stop with the wedding! What about the Bridal Shower? Check out these cute Disney DIY Bridal shower ideas:

    ShowerBling

Bedazzle your own custom Bridal party hoodies or tank tops (they make great gifts!), or you can pay someone to do it (Etsy would be a great place to look!)

ShowerDrinkme

ShowerMadHatter

A Tea Party theme for a shower is pretty popular right now – and a great Disney twist to that would be to have a “Mad Hatter” Alice In Wonderland themed bridal shower

ShowerPrincess

A Princess themed Bridal Shower would be perfect for a Disney Loving Bride To Be – creating something like these labels and place cards could easily be done on the computer for little to no cost!

ShowerInvite2

Speaking of Princess theme….these invites would go along with it perfectly!

ShowerInvite

I must admit – my future sister in law is my inspiration for this post, as she is marrying my brother in law in September, and we are headed to her bridal shower this weekend. Her wedding is going to have an “Up” theme to it, and something like the above invites would go along perfectly with that theme!

T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – Characters Delight Those Of All Ages at 1900 Park Fare

I woke up this morning and the first thing I thought was “I wish I was having breakfast at Disney!” – and if I could pick anywhere I think it would be the character breakfast at 1900 Park Fare at Disney’s beautiful Grand Floridian Resort

The food is great there – they offer a buffet of delicious eats like Mickey waffles, fresh fruit, ham/bacon/sausage, and their signature chilled strawberry soup! But for me, the characters are the main attraction here, and on Christmas day it was definitely a random assortment of characters –Pooh and Tigger, Mary Poppins, Alice, and the Mad Hatter all made their rounds and posed for pictures, autographs, and hugs!

We also stopped after our meal and had our picture taken by the Resort’s beautiful Christmas tree. What a great way to spend Christmas morning (or any day for that matter!)

T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – Another Disney Tattoo? Yeah, That Happened

So, those of you who follow my adventures know that I already have one Disney Tattoo – and this weekend I added to that number with my second “Disney” themed tattoo:

AliceTat

“We’re All Mad Here” – Courtesy of the Cheshire Cat from Alice In Wonderland – I just LOVE this quote, and I love the way the tattoo turned out too!

I am a HUGE fan of both the animated and the live action Alice in Wonderland movies, and getting my tattoo reminded me of all of my favorite “Alice” moments:

TGIFAlice 1“Golden Afternoon” sung with the flowers

TGIFAlice 2

The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party

TGIF Alice 4

In the Tim Burton version – when Alice gets her first glimpse of “Wonderland”

TGIF ALice3

When Alice Slays The Jabberwocky (and counts the impossible things!)

I just love that while the two movies are telling the same story, they are SO different – both so interesting to watch in their own ways

And you know, I think it’s true – we ARE all a little mad after all, aren’t we?
