T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – Adding Some Extra “Magic” To Your Magic Bands

Have you been to Disney World recently? If so, you probably have had a chance to try out their new Magic Band system – and if not, let me give you a quick rundown on what you’re missing out on: the Magic Band is essentially a bracelet that contains and electronic chip, which acts as your park ticket, your method of payment at the Parks for souvenirs/food etc, your WDW Resort room key, and it even stores your Fastpass/Dining Reservation information too. Pretty cool for a little bracelet, right? The design of the band itself is pretty basic – so of course people have come up with plenty of ways to personalize their Magic Bands:

There are plenty of accessories available for sale at the Disney Parks

….And then there’s the “after-market” Magic Band Accessories – many of which are available through sites like Etsy

Or if you’re the crafty type, you can always decorate it yourself

Personally I like to keep it simple – a little Muppet charm and I’m good to go!

Dining In Disneyland Just Became Easier – Thanks To Online Dining Reservations!

Waffle

Some exciting news for Disneyland lovers – as of 10/3/13, you can now book your Dining reservations online up to 60 days before your trip

Previously, there was an email address used for Disneyland dining reservations, and this will no longer be used as of 10/3/2013 as its being replaced by the (better and more efficient!) online system. Guests can still call to make reservations if they have questions (or if they would prefer not to use the online system)

This new system includes dining reservations for restaurants in both the Disneyland and California Adventure Parks, and Downtown Disney and Disneyland Resort Hotel restaurants as well (A credit card will be required when making reservations for table service dining). I think this is a great step forward for Disneyland, and I believe it will help control the flow of diners in the Disneyland restaurants, and will also help ensure you are getting the meals you want while on vacation!

I highly recommend you utilize this system when planning your next Disneyland trip, it’s easy, fast, and a great way to help you organize your days in Disney!
