I have always been a big Toy Story fan – I bawled like a dang baby at the end of Toy Story 3 – and this time around, I get to share it with my son which is just the best!
He’s a big fan too – he’s seen the movies, knows the characters, and he even rode Slinky Dog Dash with me when we were at Walt Disney World last fall!
Disney is gearing up for the new movie – with merchandise (the toy sections at Walmart & Target are NOT SAFE parents – avoid at all costs unless you want to leave broke! If you’re at the store alone though – feel free to check it out – the new stuff is so cute!!), ads everywhere, and even new character experiences in Toy Story Land! Bo Peep Will soon start making regular appearances at Hollywood Studios – and for those of you expecting a docile sweet little thing – think again! She really comes into her own in this movie, showing how strong a woman can be!
Disney World isn’t the only place gearing up for the new movie – the toys are out in full force at our house, and we even made ourselves a Forky! Forky is a character new to Toy Story 4 – Bonnie creates him at school and brings him home to play with the other toys!
Luckily, Forky is easy to make – some popsicle sticks, a spork, Googly eyes & pipe cleaners and you’re in business!
What about you – are you excited for the new movie to open in theaters on June 20th?
When I started this blog, my main goal was to express my love of Disney & specifically how much fun it could be for adults. Since then, I have had a son of my own, who we took to Disney World for the first time last fall – he loved it and we loved watching him experience all of that “Disney Magic”.
Next year, my husband and I are going on a cruise alone – just the two of us, and I can’t wait – some adult time (with an adult drink in our hands!) is just what we need – and what all parents really deserve! The cruise we picked sails out of Port Canaveral Florida – and for those of you familiar with the area, that is the closest port to the Orlando airport (about an hour away), which means – that’s right – we will be smack dab in the middle of MICKEY territory. Of course, I would never waste this opportunity – and am adding a Disney Parks day onto our vacation after our cruise!
Before our son, my husband and I went on several Disney World vacations just the two of us – and we had SO MUCH FUN! Here’s a few pics of us pre-kid, enjoying Disney World:
I cannot wait to be back there again with my
husband, and even if it’s just for a day, it will be so amazing to experience it like we used to pre-kid. Will it be kinda weird and a bit sad to not have our son there with us and will we miss him terribly? Of COURSE – but at the end of the day, everyone deserves a bit of “Adult” fun, right?
Found this gem of a phone case on eBay – it was only like $3 and it’s seriously awesome. It took like a month to arrive because it came from China – but it was worth it I think.
What about you – do you have any Disney phone accessories that you love?
This weekend Star Wars fans everywhere will be celebrating May 4th – as in May the 4th Be With You – Star Wars day!
While I personally am not a huge fan, I can certainly appreciate the stories and their ability to bring people together and create something truly special that has spanned generations. My dad went to see the first movies, I went to see the first three episodes, and now my son can enjoy the newest movies in theaters (and at the Disney Parks!) too!
There’s plenty of opportunities to enjoy Star Wars at the Disney Parks:
And soon with the opening of Star Wars land at the Disneyland and Disney World later this year, fans will have even more chances to immerse themselves in all things Star Wars!
If you’re lucky enough to get to celebrate Star Wars day at Disney this year, be sure to check out their Exclusive May the 4th merchandise. And if not, might I suggest an epic all day Star Wars movie marathon?
TGIF – and May the 4th (or force?) be with you!
This week had been a tough one for me and my family – we lost my aunt, who was an amazing mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and a lifelong Disney lover
She accompanied us to Disney World and Universal on multiple occasions when I was younger, and she was always the most fun to be around. She always made people laugh and saw the best in any situation, and she will be remembered for her ability to shine a light in a dark situation
So glad I have so many memories of her to carry with me, including some awesome ones of our times at Disney World
TGIF to all – and I for one am glad this week is almost over!
There are few things I love more than a nice hot cup of coffee in the morning. The chance to sip it while playing with my son is basically paradise to me. In fact – I’m sipping some right now – out of a Disney mug of course
Speaking of Disney – there are few things better than combining it with my other love – Caffeine!
Starbucks at Disney World is a fairly new development – over the last several years the Parks and Disney Springs have added various locations that offer everything we have come to love about the coffee chain with some Disney magic sprinkled in:
Starbucks + Disney = Perfection.
TGIF – and here’s hoping your coffee is stronger than your toddler’s sass (at least that’s what I’m hoping for anyway!)
