I mentioned already that my husband and I are pending a new arrival – a future Disney Addict in the making will be joining our family in early October, and we are thrilled! Last weekend we got a little crafty and made our little one some fun onesies – can’t wait to see them on him/her (and for them to probably be puked/spit up on 5 minutes later ha!). Of COURSE we had to make a disney one – I just love the future mouseketeer one, don’t you?
You can easily make onesies or t shirts at home – just get yourself some iron – on transfers (these can be bought pretty much anywhere, I think mine came from Target) – and get to work! I got lucky as ours are the ones you don’t have to reverse the image for, which made it even easier! But even if you have to reverse your image, that is easily done in photoshop or another photo editing program
Basically we just found some pictures we liked, printed them on the iron-on sheets, ironed them on, and that was really it! You can use all kinds of images, like a picture you have taken or a funny saying or a name or anything!
Making shirts to commemorate a baby’s/kids first trip to Disney is always fun, or you can announce your anniversary, engagement, honeymoon, family reunion…the list goes on! Using bright colored t-shirts with a bold pattern/picture are good for kids so you can spot them and easily keep track of your whole family
I wanted to post about the onesie idea because I know a lot of people want to have something special to wear while at Disney, and not everyone can embroider or sew (or afford to pay someone who does!) – so using iron-ons is a great alternative!
Now, if only we can fast forward a few weeks so we can know the sex of our little future Disney lover so I can make more outfits for him/her!
