Disney World is more than just fun and games, it can also be an educational experience (probably the last thing you want on a vacation but they manage to work it in anyways!!)
When you’re at Walt Disney Worlds Epcot, you’ll definitely want to head to the Living with the Land attraction-a tour via boat through Disney’s greenhouse where they grow all kinds of vegetables and.fruits, many of which end up on your dinner plate at various restaurants around WDW. its pretty cool to think that the tomatoes on my salad or the orange zest on my cake were grown on property!
In addition to growing food for on property use, The Land does a lot of experimental growing using new and different techniques. Many of the plants grow hydroponically, and a lot of them grow upside down! Its really a cool sight to see.
Living with the Land offers a chance to learn more about plants and agriculture, and next time I am there I am hoping to get some tips on how to keep a houseplant alive as I’m hopeless with them!!
Oh, and they grow Mickey shaped pumpkins. How cool is that!??
