Johnny Depp…..a stuffed bear….frogs and pigs and chickens and things….

Let’s just say-Disney has been busy!

2011 is going to be a big year for Disney movies-and there is definitely something for everyone to enjoy in these movies

Pirates of the Caribbean-On Stranger Tides is the 4th installment of the Pirates series of movies that opened on May 20th to rave reviews. The film follows everyone’s favorite captain Jack Sparrow (Depp) on his quest for the fountain of youth.

The Winnie the Pooh movie opens July 15th and I personally can’t wait to see Pooh make friends, eat hunny and have new exciting adventures with the whole gang. Disney is definitely trying to target the 18+ crowd with this one-the preview features the song “Somewhere only we know” by Keane and the soundtrack includes a few tunes sung by Zooey Deschanel (including a new version of Pooh’s classic theme song!).  Honestly I don’t know why they bothered trying to target me-I was hooked the minute I heard the words “Pooh movie”  but in all seriousness it should be a cute movie that reminds us all of a simpler time where friendship really was the most important thing.

Later this year, disney will bring back The Muppets along with Amy Adams and Jason Segal for a new big screen adventure. It opens November 23 (ie thanksgiving eve) and I know the theaters will be packed-cuz who doesn’t love the Muppets??

And hey if you love these movies guess what….Walt Disney World can help you out. They have a ride/attraction starring cast members of all three of these movies-
Pirates of the Caribbean takes you on a boat ride through a day in the life of a pirate, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is a ride featuring cars made to look like giant ‘hunny’ pots, and MuppetVision 3D is a hilarious 3d show with some very realistic effects.

I can’t wait to see each and every one of these movies (probably multiple times!) And I hope this post and these pictures inspire you to do the same. Check our disney.com for official movie info/news/clips/trailers etc.
