T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – The Mouse’s Leading Lady

Minnie has been making us smile for years – and I have to admit she is a personal favorite of mine, and whenever I go to WDW, I make it a point to seek her out and have my picture taken with her. Her dress, her shoes, her bow, her polka dots – she is a fashion icon!

In Epcot, you can meet up with Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald, and Goofy at the Epcot Character Spot!

The fab five also make a daily appearance for breakfast and dinner over at the family-friendly Chef Mickey’s restaurant – the food is served buffet-style and you can enjoy the eats while the characters make the rounds for pictures, hugs, and autographs!

Minnie hosts a character buffet breakfast at the Plaza Inn in Disneyland – she even dons a cute apron for the occasion!

And what tribute to Minnie Mouse would be complete without an adorable old school flashback shot (circa late 80′s)? Note my mom’s perm – gotta love the big hair!

Is “Star Wars Land” Coming To Disneyland?

Now that Disney owns the rights to Star Wars and Lucas Film, they are making a 7th movie, and many are wondering if they are planning to do even more with Star Wars – like possibly build a whole Land themed after the legendary films?

In an online survey that was sent in late March to Disney Annual Passholders and other Disney enthusiasts, one of the questions read “How interested would you be in visiting a Star Wars themed land at the Disneyland Resort?”

Unfortunately that’s as far as the news has gone so far – we can only speculate at this time what they might do with the results from that survey, but hopefully people are in favor of the idea, and I know that personally my husband and I would be ALL FOR IT – we love Star Tours, and a Star Wars Land would be a perfect addition to Disneyland (and maybe someday Disney World in Florida too? One can dream….)

T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – New Haunted Mansion Souvenirs Appear In The Disney Parks!

Disney is always changing up their merchandise offerings, which is great for those of us who are looking for a uniquely new souvenir – and what better thing to bring home than something that reminds me of one of my favorite Disney rides – The Haunted Mansion!

These brand new Haunted Mansion inspired items are so great – what a perfect way to decorate your home with that subtle little hint of Disney?

A place to rest your head

Oh, and it would make a great addition to this pillow – which has been available for a while at the Parks

And probably my personal fave – this coaster set would look perfect on my bar, and you can’t help but laugh at the sayings!

 

Right now, these are available exclusively at select locations at Disneyland and Walt Disney World, but I am betting they will show up online via the Disney Store soon!

T.G.I.F Pic Of The Week – Walt’s Vision Comes To Life At Disneyland

I know I mostly talk about how amazing Walt Disney World is, and it really is a great place to vacation for adults and kids alike, but the truth is, it isn’t the *original* Disney Theme Park - that title belongs to the Disneyland Theme Park in California, the place Walt created and saw his dreams and visions come to life!

I am lucky enough to have traveled to Disneyland once before, and am planning to go again sometime in the fall of 2014 (in time for their Halloween Festivities!), and I found myself going through some of my old pictures from that trip to the “Land”, and remembering just how great it is….

Disneyland has it all, and best of all – it’s all courtesy of the imagination of the man behind the mouse – Walt himself!

I can’t say I like Disnleyland better than Disney World, but I CAN say that I love them both for different reasons, and I know that I can’t WAIT to return to sunny California for more of the Disney Magic I love so much!

T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – Designer Disney Purses? Yes Please!

There are SO MANY Disney souvenirs available at the Parks that I know I have to hold back and not buy them all because well that would get expensive, not to mention I would never be able to get my suitcase closed after!

…Of course one solution to THAT dilemma is that you could always buy another bag while at WDW to keep all those new treasures in. And if it’s a bag you’re in the market for, Disney – or should I say designer Dooney and Burke has you covered – with some amazing designer bags themed after everyone’s favorite Park and Mouse!

 

How about an adorable clutch, classic carryall, or fun colorful tote?

Personally I am VERY into this Iphone case – it is definitely my favorite Dooney and Burke item and I can’t wait to get my hands on one!

T.G.I.F. Pic Of The Week – The City Of Love And Mickey Make A Good Pair

I have written many times about how much I love the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida (heck, it’s what most of this blog is about!), and I have even dabbled in some of the greatness that Disneyland has to offer, but one thing I have never blogged about is Disneyland Paris, and I think it’s time we changed that!

 

Disneyland Paris combines the beauty and splendor of European culture with the magic that is Disney! There are two Theme Parks – the Disneyland Park which is similar to WDW’s Magic Kingdom, and the Walt Disney Studios Park which has a movie/Hollywood feel (like that of WDW’s Hollywood Studios). If shopping is your bag, then you can head over to the Disney Village to get your fill of shopping and dining, and when it comes time to find a place to rest your head, Disneyland Paris has 7 different Resort Hotels on property to choose from.

 

And it’s not too hard on the eyes either…

I can think of few things more romantic than Disney at night in the Paris, the City of Love
