Fall is – in my humble opinion – the very best season of all! Apple and pumpkin everything, cool air, changing leaves, sweaters – I love it all. And although autumn may not officially begin for a few days (9/22 to be exact!) – the season is definitely in the air everywhere – here in upstate NY you can see it in the apple orchards and feel it in the crisp air, and in Walt Disney World, you can see it everywhere you look!
…And of course with fall comes Halloween – which Disney is already fully prepared for, since they are already in the midst of their Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party celebrations! Whether or not you get to celebrate fall or Halloween at Disney, I hope you get to enjoy the season as much as I do!

I am sure that by now, you have all heard the shocking news of Robin William’s death which occurred Monday evening. America has had so many laughs thanks to him and his many movie roles and stand up acts, and he will always be remembered for the joy he brought to us all.
Aladdin was one of the first movies I remember seeing in the theater, and I watched it so much I wore out the VHS (remember those?). The main reason this movie was such a hit can really be attributed to Robin William’s amazing portrayal of the Genie – he made us laugh and as we all know, laughter can cure whatever ails you!
Unfortunately, laughter wasn’t enough for Robin, as he had some internal battles that he was dealing with which ultimately lead to his death, you can read more about the demons that plagued the actor here
RIP Robin – your legacy will live on for generations to come, and thanks for making me laugh when I really needed it
Disney Pin collectors, rejoice! Disney has recently released some awesome new pins available for purchase at the Disney Parks – check them out:
I know there are plenty of people who can’t wait to get their hands on those Anna and Elsa pins – personally I love the black Alice In Wonderland set. The “Princess” Shoes are perfect for all the women who believe that old Cinderella Adage:
Check out the official Pin release info here, and if you aren’t a Disney pin collector, then you can learn more about this fun (and addictive!) souvenir here

I don’t know about you, but I just love Disney’s Haunted Mansion Ride – everything about it is amazing, from the doom buggies to the ghosts that follow you home – it’s a classic that I make sure to ride MANY times during each WDW trip!
Luckily for me and all you other Haunted Mansion fans out there – Disney has realized just how many of us there are, and will be opening a new Haunted Mansion themed souvenir store this fall! It will be where the old Yankee Trader store was (Yankee Trader has already closed for renovations!) – which is a perfect location as it’s right next to the Haunted Mansion ride
Here’s a Sneak Peak of some of the new merchandise this shop will be offering – just in time for Halloween! I love the apron, and the ice cube trays, and – well – everything!
Stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog for more info on the store opening and merchandise

Today marks the 59th anniversary of the opening of Walt’s dream come true – the original Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California. If you’ve never been, then I highly recommend you make the trip there at least once in your lifetime. It’s where the magic all started, and where Walt himself gave the opening day speech that included the words “To All who come to this happy place – welcome!”
Check out some Disney facts and history here. Happy 59 years to Disneyland, and here’s to many, MANY more!
