Christmas Disney Desserts Bring The “Yum” To A Whole New Level

Spending Christmas at Disney World definitely has its benefits – no presents to wrap, no schlepping around in the snow with packages and hot food, no dishes to prepare for parties…etc. One thing I was worried about though was that I would miss my annual family Christmas party which meant I would miss the dessert table – all those homemade cookies and cakes and assorted other goodies … but luckily, Disney had me covered (as usual!). They always manage to serve up amazing food, and the Christmas desserts they offered last week while I was there were no exception:

 Desserts Krispie

From this adorable chocolate and sprinkle covered Rice Krispie treat

Desserts Cake Pop

To a dense, sweet mickey snowman cake pop

DessertsToffee

Oh – and who could forget the handmade English toffee? YUM

Desserts Shingle

I also picked up a chocolate covered Gingerbread “shingle” from the life size Gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian Resort

Desserts Gelato

We stayed at the new Art Of Animation Resort – and in their food court they have a gelato station! They were serving up Christmas-y flavors like peppermint and pumpkin – delish!

Desserts Tart

But my fave? I would have to say it’s this Pumpkin Pecan tart that was available at the Art of Animation’s food court – it was moist, sweet, and had a pumpkin pie-esque center – YUM!

It’s good to know that even though I may be far away from my family’s amazing home baked desserts, I will not suffer from a lack of desserts while at the happiest place on earth!
