T.G.I.F Pic Of The Week – Drool-Worthy WDW Sweet Treats

I am the first to admit – I am a sucker for desserts, and I would eat them for every meal if I could, and I love baking them too. In fact, I love baking them so much that I started a blog to chronicle my baking adventures, and have even made some adorable Mickey edibles, thanks to my trusty Mickey Mouse cookie cutter!

So when I travel to Walt Disney World, I tend to seek out restaurants/places to eat based on the desserts they offer, and luckily WDW offers some AMAZING desserts, like these:

Ridiculous Cross Section of The Butterfinger Cupcakes

Why, might you ask, would I call this ridiculous? well its super moist chocolate cake with a fudge center, topped with a mountain of vanilla frosting, a chocolate shell, and butterfinger pieces on top. Its ridiculously amazing, seriously

Cinnamon Roll (yes, that is extra frosting on the top!)

This Cinnamon roll from the Main Street Bakery is doughy, dense, sweet, cinnamon-y deliciousness, and since it was the last one on the pan, we got the leftover frosting – yum!

Red Velvet Cake Pop Cross Section

This picture does NOT do this Mickey Cake Pop justice – the cake is dense, moist, and flavorful, and its coated in white chocolate with pink sugar on top! and the ears? they are made of marshmallows! It was amazing, and not too sweet, which I sort of was expecting it to be, so I was extra pleasantly surprised there!

A Christmas treat- a Gingerbread man sporting Mickey Ears!

I mostly got this because I thought the ears were so cute! But it actually tasted awesome – not too dry just the right gingerbread flavor, but the buttons/ears were kind of bland, just sweet tasting, however I still enjoyed it. Disney does a lot of themed treats for various holidays like Christmas, Easter, Valentine’s Day, Halloween, and the various seasons as well

Case full of caramel goodies at Karamel Kuche

I had so much trouble deciding between all these amazing treats! I finally settled on a dark chocolate salted caramel – it was awesome!! Can’t wait to go back and try more goodies!

My fave places to grab a yummy treat?
Starring Rolls at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Main Street Bakery in the Magic Kingdom
Main Street Confectionary in the Magic Kingdom
Karamel Kuche in Epcot’s Germany Pavillion
Goofy’s Candy Co. in Downtown Disney (not technically a bakery, but they do sell some amazing candy and sweets!)

There is so much amazing food at Walt Disney World, and I have never had sweet treats as good as these anywhere else, they are worth checking out next time you are in WDW, and I would love to know.

What are YOUR favorite Walt Disney World Sweet Treats?

TGIF!!!

  1. I have to have a piece of grapefruit cake and a gingerbread Mickey everytime! Do you think more people go to DS for Fantasmic or the Writers Stop cupcakes? Hmm….

    • I have never had the grapefruit cake but have heard that you can sometimes purchase it “to go” from the brown derby, do you know if this is true? As I would love to try it!!

  2. Mine has to be a cheese Danish from various bakeries across property! We can’t get them in the UK so it’s always my number 1 treat when I visit the States!!
